Every once and a while, there’s nothing wrong with treating yourself to a dessert or snack, whether that be ice cream, fried chicken, or whatever your favorite comfort food is! But there are some foods that should be avoided at all costs.
Food has a huge impact on your physical and mental health, influencing everything from your weight to your energy levels. Some foods have been studied specifically for their positive impacts on the body and mind, while others are known only for being unhealthy or causing negative side effects.
For example, it’s important to limit your intake of sugar and fat (both saturated and unsaturated) because these can lead to obesity in adults and children alike. This is especially true if you have diabetes or high blood pressure. The danger of processed foods goes beyond obesity, though. They also contribute to heart disease and other chronic health conditions โ even cancer!
