Upgrade Your Brain, Learn Anything Faster and Become Limitless

Your mind is your superpower.

When I was in grade school, people usually referred to me as “the dumb kid.” To compensate, I decided to be the best athlete I could be. I sort of just accepted I wasn’t as smart as other people, so I decided to get really good at what seemed attainable, which was sports.

Maybe you felt this way up growing up, too. Maybe you have a learning disability like me —dyslexia — and you were told that reading and writing is just going to be hard for you. There’s nothing you can do about it but accept that you have a problem and move on.

Sometimes, we do have preexisting conditions that make learning more difficult, but that doesn’t mean it’s impossible, and it certainly doesn’t mean that our brains are broken. Everyone’s brain is different and everyone learns in different ways. It’s not about whether or not you can learn, it’s about understanding how you learn and using that to achieve your maximum potential.

If you’ve spent your life thinking that you’re dumb, get ready throw that thought out the window, because my guest today has proved otherwise.

“It’s not how smart you are, it’s how are you smart.” @jimkwik

Jim Kwik is an entrepreneur, business coach, and literal genius. He is the Founder and CEO of Kwik Learning, an online brain training and learning firm where he teaches people how to get the most out of their minds. Jim suffered a brain injury at the age of five, which led to slow brain performance and left him struggling in school. As the years wore on, he undertook a journey to learn about his brain – why it was “broken” and what he could do to fix it.

That journey led him to discovering different learning habits, including accelerated learning systems and tactics. He spent years training his brain for speed-reading and memory improvement. Companies like SpaceX and Virgin, owned by billionaire geniuses like Richard Branson and Elon Musk, have trained with him.

Jim just released his new book Limitless: Upgrade Your Brain, Learn Anything Faster, and Unlock Your Exceptional Life on April 28th, 2020. As a kid, Jim loved superheroes and comic books inspired him to reach for greatness, even when people told him it was impossible. Over the years, Jim unlocked his greatest superpower – his mind – and you can too.

I had Jim Kwik on The School of Greatness back in the early days, and I was so excited to have him back on the show. Join me on Episode 947 to learn about how your mind can accomplish far more than you’ve ever imagined with the incredible Jim Kwik!

“If an egg is broken by an outside force, life ends. If it’s broken by an inside force, it begins.” @jimkwik
