What drives success?

Getting dirty and overcoming obstacles.

At least that’s the way Joe De Sena believes it to be.

As an endurance racer, his resume is legendary.

With over 50 ultra-events overall and 12 Ironman Events in one year alone.  Most of his races are 100 miles or more with a few traditional marathons in the mix (but those are like an average humans 2 mile job in the park for him).

He turned his passion into a global movement building obstacle courses for millions of people all over the world.  His mission – to get people off the couch!

Welcome to the 68th episode of the School of Greatness with Joe De Sena.

Obstacles have been a theme recently on The SOG podcast.  It seems to be something many great athletes and minds get to overcome in order to step into their greatness.  What’s the biggest obstacle you are currently facing in your business or life and what do you feel is getting in the way of overcoming it?

Leave your answer in the comments section below and I’ll do my best to share what I would do to overcome it.

Really enjoyed this episode!  Glad I'm not the only one who thinks about over-abundance of food/creature comforts and how it changes how we achieve goals.  I really connected with a lot of what you guys discussed.

I'm currently injured and awaiting surgery.  It is a bit of a mind-f*** to listen to a show about a race that sounds so fun, and about endurance sports in general.  There is nothing more soul-charging that getting into the woods and running your heart out.  On the bright side I've been trying new sports and activities that I never had time for before when I was running over mountains.  Thanks for giving me a new race to look forward to when I'm back in the saddle :)  Although I don't remember who was president or when, so I guess I should google that- ha ha

Great episode!
