The vast majority of parents out there want the very best for their kids. They make countless sacrifices for their children so they can live the greatest lives possible. That said, it’s important for parents to not ALWAYS put their own well-being on the backburner. If they don’t, they’ll run the risk of bitterness and resentment potentially building up over time, which can lead to a less than healthy home environment.
My guest today is a leading expert on the concept of “Zen parenting”, which gives parents the tools they need to ensure a happy, stable home life for their kids AND themselves. Her name is Cathy Cassani Adams, and I’m SO thrilled to have her in the studio with me today. Let’s all give the one-and-only, Cathy Cassani Adams, a warm welcome to The School of Greatness!
Cathy is a self-awareness expert focused on parenting and the personal empowerment of women and young girls. She’s a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Parent Coach, Certified Elementary School Teacher, Certified Yoga Teacher, and she teaches in the Sociology Department at Dominican University and Elmhurst College. She’s the author of The Self-Aware Parent (2009), The Self-Aware Parent Two (2011), and Living What You Want Your Kids to Learn: The Power of Self-Aware Parenting (2014) which won a Nautilus Award, National Indie Excellence Award, and an International Book Award.
