I had a great opportunity this week to visit my alma mater, Principia College in Illinois.

They invited me to come talk to some of the faculty, athletes, and graduating students about how to build a successful career and great life.

It was a big trip down memory lane because it had been at least 7 years since I’d been back there.

As I was speaking with the group after my speech, I kept getting questions that brought me back to the same three topics.

I realized that I consistently was telling people the same things build a successful career. Skills, value, and mentors.
