Be True to Yourself

You know the people who you can never seem to please? It's okay to stop trying.

Whether we like it or not, not everyone is going to like us.

Especially if we are pushing ourselves to be better, do more, and expand beyond our current limits.

It can make people around us feel uncomfortable if they’re not also trying to grow and improve.

But that doesn’t mean we should stop.

It might mean it’s time to let those people go out of our lives.

I found a pretty great metaphor that explains this and I’m talking about it in this week’s 5 Minute Friday in Episode 471.

"Don't be afraid of losing people. Be afraid of losing yourself by trying to please everyone around you."

Some Questions I Ask:

In this episode, you will learn:

How to let go of “crabby” relationships:

  1. Have a conversation and express a request for support
  2. Set boundaries so you don’t get caught in their trap
  3. Cut your time with them back significantly
