A Spiritual Approach to Death, Abundance & Purpose

HAVE YOU TAPPED INTO YOUR MEDITATIVE POWER?

Are you searching for spiritual abundance and purpose in life?

There’s no doubt that life can be tough. It seems like something new pops up every day to throw us for a loop. In the midst of all the chaos, it’s easy to lose sight of what’s important and why we’re even here in the first place. But what if we could find a higher purpose in life? What if we could use our trials and tribulations as a means to make a difference in the world? Believe it or not, it is possible! Our special guest today, Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shanker, will talk more on how to find your higher purpose and make a lasting impact.

In this episode, we discuss how to find spiritual abundance, how to be happy even when you’re overwhelmed with stress, why it’s crucial to find a higher purpose in life, and so much more. We had an exciting conversation, so buckle up, get ready, and let the class begin.

Who Is Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar?

Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar is a globally recognized spiritual leader, humanitarian, and peacemaker, touching the lives of more than 450 million people worldwide. Born in Tamil Nadu, Southern India, Sri Sri was considered a gifted child. By age four, he could already recite the Bhagavad Gita, an ancient Sanskrit text. As a young boy, he studied Vedic literature with a close associate of Mahatma Gandhi. At seventeen, he had already graduated from college with a degree in Physics. He combines the ancient teachings of India with Western learning.

In line with his noble vision of having a violence-free and stress-free world, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar resolves conflicts through self-awareness and dialogue, by teaching positive approaches to living, and by his example of selfless service. He has also released a book, An Intimate Note to the Sincere Seeker, which I’ve been diving into and loving reading. He has some special techniques for alleviating stress and anxiety, and in this episode, he shared with us a spiritual approach to death, abundance, and purpose.

How Can We Find Spiritual Abundance?

Have you ever felt like there was more to life than just what you could see and touch or that there must be something else out there waiting for you? If so, you’re not alone. A lot of people are looking for spiritual abundance in their lives. But what does that mean, exactly? And how do you find it?

“You need to have balance. You can’t spend half of your health to get wealth and then half of your wealth to get back your health. So basically, we need to find that … work-life balance, … and then social life and personal life, you have to balance that. [So,] take some time for oneself. … Meditation can help a great deal in bringing balance in life, and it can also enkindle a lot of creativity from within you. … So, to be in a consistent state of ‘wow’ is what I would call a spiritual elevation — our spiritual attainment.” – Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

If you’re looking for spiritual abundance in your life, you need to find balance. Many people try to focus on spirituality and forget about the other important aspects of their lives. This can lead to feelings of emptiness and lack of fulfillment. To find true spiritual abundance, you need to embrace all aspects of your life equally — your relationships, your work, and your self-care. Only then will you be able to achieve the sense of wholeness and peace that you’re searching for.

But in order to strike a balance in life, meditation is necessary because it allows us to connect with our inner selves and explore our spirituality in a deep and meaningful way. What many people don’t realize is that meditation isn’t just about finding peace and stillness within ourselves — it can also help us create positive change in the world around us. By learning to meditate, we can become more aware of the thoughts, feelings, and emotions that drive us and learn how to work with them in a constructive way. This makes us happier and more at peace with ourselves and helps us make a difference in the world.

How Can We Begin Feeling Happy When We’re Overwhelmed With Stress?

No matter what life throws your way, it’s important to find ways to happiness. When you’re overwhelmed with stress, it can be tough to know how to begin feeling happy again. Thankfully, our guest shared with us how to begin feeling happy even when you’re so overwhelmed with stress.

“Number one, you need some practical tools. When you feel stressed and anxious, any amount of talking doesn’t help. I would recommend people to attend to their breath — take long deep breaths, and do some breathing exercises.” – Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

You don’t need to be a yoga instructor to enjoy the benefits of meditation and deep breathing exercises. In fact, you can start feeling better right now by taking just a few minutes out of your day to focus on your breath. Practicing deep breathing exercises can help you feel more alert, focused, and happy in the present moment.

“Second: See life from a bigger perspective. … Think about the end of your life. … The curtain is going to come down on the show, so that awareness [can help].” – Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

In order to be happy, you have to start seeing life from a bigger picture. When you’re bogged down by the small details, it’s difficult to appreciate all of the good things that are happening in your life. But when you take a step back and look at the big picture, you’ll realize that you have a lot to be grateful for. So start paying attention to the good and let go of the negative thoughts and feelings that are weighing you down. You’ll be amazed at how much better you’ll feel once you do!

“Third, I would say wake up and see that there are people who are much more needy than you are. There are those who are in bad shape. Think about what you can do for them instead of sitting and worrying about your own issues.” – Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

Sometimes, you have to look around at those who are less fortunate and then appreciate what you have in order to start feeling good. It’s easy to take things for granted, but when you see how others are living, it can inspire you to be grateful for the life you have. So, if you’re looking for a way to jumpstart your happiness, take a look at those who aren’t as blessed and appreciate everything that you have. You may find that this small change will make a big difference in how you feel every day.

“And fourth is to know that with your own experience in the past … you have always had some help. Remember there is … some power you call God, or higher self, or something that is compassionate and has helped you before.” – Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

A lot has been going on lately. You may be feeling a little down, lost, or confused. You may be asking yourself what you’re doing with your life and where it’s all going. Here’s the thing: you are not alone. Many people feel this way at some point in their lives. The important thing is to remember that there is a higher power, something bigger than ourselves, that has helped us get to where we are today. So don’t lose faith — keep fighting, and begin to feel happy again knowing that everything will work out in the end. Once you find happiness, you will also find a higher purpose in your life.

Why Is It Crucial to Find a Higher Purpose in Our Lives?

Everybody has to find their own higher purpose in life. It doesn’t necessarily have to be something grand or world-altering, but it should mean something to you and make you want to get up in the morning. Here are four reasons why finding your higher purpose is so important.

“‘Where do I want to go after all these? What do I get?’ These questions start coming up with you, and that’s a sign of mature intellect. Once we have the spirit of inquiry about life itself, then our spiritual journey begins.”- Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

We all want to find out what purpose we serve in life and how our existence contributes to the world around us. The spiritual journey begins once we have the spirit of inquiry about life itself. For some, this may mean finding a religious or spiritual community to join that can provide guidance. Others may prefer to explore on their own, reading about different concepts and practices until they find something that resonates. There is no wrong way to embark on this journey — just be open to where it may lead you. As we do this, we will likely come across many different experiences and revelations that can help guide us on our paths. So don’t be afraid to start exploring your spiritual side — it could be the best thing you could ever do!

I want to acknowledge Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar for being such an incredible person and spreading positivity wherever he goes. His definition of greatness is something we all should remember as we go through life’s challenges.

“[Greatness is where] simplicity is the greatest value.” – Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

We all want to be great. But what does it really mean? For some, greatness might mean being wealthy or famous. For others, it might be about having a positive impact on the world. But no matter how we define it, one thing is clear: Greatness isn’t easy to achieve. It takes hard work, dedication, and a lot of time and effort.

However, we can also achieve greatness by keeping things simple. By not complicating things unnecessarily, we can focus on what’s important and achieve more success in less time. In other words, simplicity is the key to greatness, and if you’re looking to achieve something great, start by making things simpler. So, go out there and do something great, and if no one’s told you lately, I want to remind you that you are loved, you are worthy, and you matter!
