Have you ever sat down and thought about how small you actually are? On a physical scale?
You are one person on a planet, which belongs in a solar system, which rests in a galaxy, which exists in an ever-expanding universe full of countless galaxies, stars, and planets. It’s mindblowing when we take the time to think about our place in the universe and how physically small we really are!
And what’s even crazier is that, even though we’re relatively so small, each person is so beautifully complex. The great poet Rumi said, “You are not a drop in the ocean. You are the entire ocean in a drop.” You — yes, you reading this — have your own set of gifts and struggles that is unique to you.
Though, something that we all universally experience is suffering, which takes many shapes and forms — abuse, loss, addiction, betrayal, the list goes on. If we don’t actively seek healing, it’s easy for us to get locked in the mindset that healing isn’t possible and that pain is our only existence. Maybe you find yourself living in the past, back in the “good ole days” when life was happier. Do you find yourself wanting to transcend your suffering and live each day happier and fuller?
If this sounds like you, I am thrilled to share this interview with the visionary Sadhguru. Honestly, this was one of the most enlightening conversations I’ve ever had, and I’m so excited for you to hear his wisdom!
