How To Build Confidence, Overcome Perfectionism & Achieve Your Dreams

OVERCOMING PERFECTIONISM TO REACH PEAK PERFORMANCE

I believe that a lack of self-love is the biggest killer of dreams, but perfectionism is a close second. It stifles our progress and brings up doubt that holds us back from striving for MORE. In order to move past our perfectionism, we sometimes need to be at peace with things being “okay” rather than perfect. As long as we give it our all, learn from our missteps, and always look to improve, then we’re in an amazing spot – and you’ll find you perform even better with this mindset than letting perfectionism get the best of you.

It’s safe to say that my guest today knows a thing or two about performing under a great deal of pressure. He’s an actor, singer, songwriter, dancer, choreographer and musician who’s appeared on Broadway, in feature films, in hit television shows and more! His name is Jordan Fisher, and I’m so excited to be able to sit down with him today. Help me give him a warm welcome to The School of Greatness!

“If you are prepared, what is there to worry about?” @jordanfisher

Jordan’s abilities as an actor, singer/songwriter, dancer, choreographer and musician span from TV to music, Broadway and film. Jordan can be seen in Netflix’s “Work It” and “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before” sequel, and most recently, The CW’s “The Flash.” His additional accomplishments include being the first African American to portray the title character of ‘Evan’ in Broadway’s “Dear Evan Hansen” and ‘Mark’ in Fox’s Emmy nominated “Rent Live,” as well as being named a breakout star by MTV and People Magazine for Fox’s Emmy-winning broadcast “Grease Live!”

Fisher also won ABC’s 25th season of “Dancing With the Stars” and collaborated with Lin-Manuel Miranda, performing a duet with him for Disney’s “Moana” soundtrack, as well as joining the cast of the Tony award-winning musical, Hamilton.
