4 Ways To Live A Healthier & Longer Life

Are you putting your health on the back burner?

I often say your health is the first step to living a happy, meaningful life. You could be building one of the world’s most successful businesses, but without your health, you might not have the opportunity to continue running it. You could have the most beautiful family, but without your health, you might not be able to make as many memories with them as you could have otherwise.

There are definitely circumstances that are beyond our control when it comes to health — conditions we are born with or sicknesses that arise unexpectedly. But there are also many conditions that are preventable if we’re willing to put in the hard work and take the right steps to make it happen.

Paying attention to your health should always be one of your top priorities — not something you do just when you feel like it or have free time. As an athlete, I’ve seen the countless benefits of putting your health first play out time and time again. If you treat your body right with great nutrition and regular exercise, it will always pay off in the long run.

I know the amount of information out there on health, dieting, and nutrition can get overwhelming. That’s why I’m so excited to bring you 4 of the industry’s leading health & wellness experts in this special mashup episode of The School of Greatness! If you’re ready to improve your mental clarity, physical fitness, and overall health, then this episode is for you!

“I think what’s frustrating for me is seeing so much needless suffering.” @drmarkhyman

Mark Hyman:

Dr. Mark Hyman is leading a health revolution—one revolved around using food as medicine to support longevity, energy, mental clarity, happiness, and so much more.

Dr. Hyman is a practicing family physician and an internationally recognized leader, speaker, educator, and advocate in the field of Functional Medicine. He’s the founder and director of The UltraWellness Center, is the Head of Strategy and Innovation of the Cleveland Clinic Center for Functional Medicine, AND is the Board President for Clinical Affairs for The Institute for Functional Medicine.

Somehow, in the midst of all this, he’s a twelve-time New York Times bestselling author. He’s also a regular medical contributor on several television shows and networks, including CBS This Morning, the Today Show, Good Morning America, The View, The Dr. Oz Show, and CNN.

Dr. Mark Hyman also hosts the leading health podcast The Doctor’s Farmacy. On his podcast, he shares a wealth of information about how our food choices are affecting our health and what we can do about it.

Needless to say, he’s an expert. Dr. Hyman is one of my favorite people to learn from about health because he is so honest about what’s going on. He’s really got humanity’s best interest at heart.

Dr. Steven Gundry:

Dr. Steven Gundry is a renowned cardiologist, surgeon, medical device inventor, and bestselling author. Although he has performed thousands of heart surgeries in his 40-year career, Dr. Gundry’s current focus is empowering people through diet to reverse and prevent ailments. He’s the Director and Founder of the International Heart & Lung Institute as well as the Center for Restorative Medicine in Palm Springs and Santa Barbara, CA. He helps patients learn how to take control of their weight, health, and energy by using his surprisingly simple diet advice.

He’s the New York Times bestselling author of The Plant Paradox, and his latest book is The Longevity Paradox which is all about how we can live long, healthy lives and fight the diseases of aging. He also hosts his own health podcast, The Dr. Gundry Podcast which gives you the tools and information you need to hack your vitality, avoid dangerous “health foods,” and balance your all-important gut.

Dr. Lisa Mosconi:

Dr. Lisa Mosconi, PhD, is the founder and director of the Women’s Brain Initiative and associate director of the Alzheimer’s Prevention Clinic at Weill Cornell Medicine, where she serves as associate professor of Neuroscience in Neurology and Radiology. She also is an adjunct faculty member at the Department of Psychiatry of NYU School of Medicine.

Dr. Mosconi holds a dual PhD degree in Neuroscience and Nuclear Medicine. A world-renowned neuroscientist and neuro-nutritionist, Dr. Mosconi is ranked amongst the top 1% of scientists of the past 22 years by official metrics. Her research is focused on the early detection of Alzheimer’s disease in at-risk individuals, especially women, using brain imaging techniques such as positron emission tomography (PET) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Dr. Mosconi is passionately interested in how risk of memory loss and dementia can be prevented through the combination of appropriate medical care and lifestyle modifications involving diet, physical and intellectual fitness.

She is the New York Times bestselling author of THE XX BRAIN (2020) and of BRAIN FOOD (2018), which have been translated into more than 15 languages. Dr. Mosconi’s TED talk “How menopause affects the brain” has been viewed over 2 million times in the first four months since its release.

Dr. Jason Fung:

Jason Fung, MD is a physician, author, and researcher. His groundbreaking science-based books about diabetes and obesity, The Diabetes Code, The Obesity Code, and The Complete Guide to Fasting have sold over one million copies and challenged the conventional wisdom that diabetics should be treated with insulin. Dr. Fung is also the co-founder of The Fasting Method (www.TheFastingMethod.com), a program to help people lose weight and reverse Type 2 Diabetes naturally with fasting. His work on fasting has been cited by CNN, Time, The Atlantic, Forbes, The Toronto Star, and many other media outlets.
