Thank You Economy by Gary Vaynerchuk

Thank You.

It’s a simple message, rather, culture that we must instill in our businesses, or they will fail.

At least this is what Gary Vaynerchuk passionately stated during a webinar that myself and Sean Malarkey hosted.

You know what?

Gary is right.

I’ve known Gary for a while and have heard him speak passionately about the Jets, business, family, social media, mobile marketing,  getting beaten by me in basketball and thumb wars, and many other topics (he is a very passionate guy).

This presentation seemed to be a little bit different than all of my other encounters.

Although he still shared the same passion and excitement, (feel free to count for f-bombs in the video) Gary shared a fresh side of his passion I hadn’t fully seen before.

We had over 1,500 people sign up for this webinar with well over 700 who attended live… and the feedback was amazing!

I don’t think I’ve seen that many tweets zing by in one hour from a previous webinar, and I received hundreds of emails, tweets, and other social media messages with people thanking me and Sean for bringing Gary on.

A number of people were unable to get on due to time zone, and other work related conflicts, so I decided to post the replay of the webinar below.

I hope you take the time to watch this entire video as Gary has some great perspectives on the way business MUST be done now and in the future… or it will fail.

If you haven’t already picked up a copy of Gary’s new book, go ahead and grab it at www.thankyoueconomybook.com and send him a tweet @garyvee letting him know you got it from this webinar.

If you want to see what people were saying from the webinar just search “#TYEbook” on Twitter and you can find the updates there.  Hope you enjoy this video and please share your thoughts in the comments section below.

Interesting discussion about the differentiation between brands being down to engagement with customers. Totally agree, this applies even if you buy in a shop, and particularly important in the ether of social media.

Thanks for the good ideas and brain stimulation. :-)

Hate to be "not thankful" but it seems like there really is not much actuall "content" to this webinar. Totally scattered all over the place and was really only a book promotion webinar which is ok, but there is way to much sales pitch and no quality content.
You always say that you want to provide great "content" on your webinars, and you usually did do that in 2010, but they have been getting worse and worse and tend to be 30 minute sales pitch, 15 minute "your story" and a little content.

I'm still a fan, "just sayin" I'd rather be watching TV than listen to Gary's grand plan of buying the Jet's and dissing the Old spice campaign

@Cmon_Man I get where you're coming from. I was expecting the speaker might at least go off of a quick bullet point list where he would drop between three to five tips. The theme seems to be one on one engagement. I guess there aren't any real tips for that other than use everything that exists, and be very personal. Make a community and instead of selling, just talk. Give, and say thank you. Stay up tweeting at 3AM. Consumers are starting to have relationships with brands and talk to them as if they were people or friends. Good theme, but lacking tips. But overall, ok content for an intro so you've got the necessary overview to dive deeper and read the book! I'll bite. These guys are talking without a script, so we can't expect super-structure.

@SadieFR @Cmon_Man I wanted to point out that if you do a search on twitter for #tyebook there were over 400 comments I believe of all positive feedback from the webinar with Gary. Thats why the comment above kinda took me back, as everyone I heard from said something positive.

In most webinars @Cmon_Man I like to spend a few minutes introducing who I'm brining on to speak, how I know them so you know I'm briniging on someone I trust, and a little bit about their background to share with people how they got to where they are.

I appreciate your feedback my friend and hope to bring great content for as long as you will watch, but it's funny when I got an email last night from somenone else who said they would rather watch that webinar with Gary over any TV show right now :)
